Please note that our web site is always evolving and new information is being added on a regular basis. This information is provided without any specific warranty, guarantee, etc. We have compiled this information to assist users, promote our industry academically and create a premier source for products and information. If during your visit you notice any errors and/or omissions, we respectfully ask you to contact us so we may better the site for all users.
Below you will find the terms and conditions for your wholesale ordering. If you have any questions about he information found in our catalog please feel free to contact our office and we will be more than happy to review the terms with you.
Minimum $50.00 in plant material for UPS Shipment
Minimum one flat per variety (Quarts are 8 and 15 per flat/Gallons are 6 per flat)
Minimum two flats per order of liners
Special Quotes on Custom Grown Material
Prices are subject to change without notice. Please note that some prices include royalty fees. Others will be added to the extended price when applicable. Itemized invoices are provided after your final shipment.
It is understood that all orders accepted are subject to availability at time of order and anticipated delivery. We do not assume liability for delay or failure to provide material due to accidents, crop failure or causes beyond our control. However, whenever possible, advance notice will be given and substitutions will be recommended.
Cancellation and changes to existing orders will be addressed on an individual basis once processing has begun. Additions to existing orders may be processed as a separate order once you have received confirmation. Orders cancelled after being processed and/or pulled for shipping with charged 20% of total order for restocking.
Customer Pick-up and Visitation
Wholesale customers interested in touring the nursery are welcomed to visit. Please call to make an appointment during the busy season. We will be happy to receive your orders after the completion of your tour and make arrangements for shipment or future pick-up. There may be occasion that an appointment for pick-up may be necessary up to four (4) working days in advance. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. During the months of March, April and May additional Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST.
Kurt Bluemel, Inc. guarantees that any plant that we sell is true to name and upon leaving Baldwin, MD is in good condition and quality. Claims for losses must be made in writing, on your company's letterhead, within five (5) days of receipt of stock. Please see shipping and handling for more information on claims.
Kurt Bluemel, Inc. collects customer information in an effort to improve your on-line experience with us and to communicate with you about our plant materials and services. We collect information such as your name, e-mail address and business address provided to us when you register on our webiste. We recognize that we must maintain and use customer information responsibly.
In order to serve you better, Kurt Bluemel Inc. may combine information you may have provided us at one time with other business information such as a current employee contact. Kurt Bluemel, Inc. will not rent or sell your contact information or e-mail address for any reason to anyone.
You can always update or delete your personal information. If at any time you would like us to delete any of your personal information on file, contact us online or by phone and we will respond as soon as possible. Please be sure to include your e-mail address and full name.

Kurt Bluemel, Inc. has a small shipping fleet of its own but also ships by third-party carriers that use alternative fuels whenever possible as well as by mass parcel post such as UPS.
Ship dates are approximate and subject to weather conditions in Baldwin, Maryland. Customers may request a desired date. However, we reserve the right to ship plant material in consideration for the health of the plants first.
Shipping, Handling, and Delivery Rates
We ship via UPS, Fed Ex and various private carriers. Plant material damaged in shipping is the responsibility of the carrier and should be addressed with the carrier. (UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box). An acknowledgement is sent prior to shipping which reflects the estimated date of shipping and for UPS, the estimated shipping charges based on the total weight of the plant material. Note: If actual shipping charges exceed estimate we will bill the total. Kurt Bluemel, Inc. does not assume responsibility for plant material damaged in shipping and/or delay in transit.
Inquire about delivery for larger orders. Certain other terms and conditions may apply.
Check your country or state regulations for current information. Currently AZ, CA, CO, IA, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, and WA require a certificate. Please inquire with us at 410-557-7229 for current costs of that inspection. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing order. Canadian/International orders must be placed no later than 3 weeks prior to desired ship date for delivery of plant material.
Canadian and International Orders
All shipments outside the Continental United Sates are done on an individual basis at the discretion of Kurt Bluemel, Inc. Minimum order is $1,000.00 US. Orders must be prepaid with cashier’s check or acceptable credit cards. Other terms and conditions may apply. Allow 4-6 weeks for preparation and inspection for Phytosanitary Certification.
Method of Payment
We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover cards. Check or money order on prepaid orders - $25.00 service charge on returned checks. C.O.D. payments apply only to customer pick up and Kurt Bluemel, Inc. deliveries. Customer accounts which are sixty (60) days past due will revert to a cash only basis on future orders.
